Reliable service provision was also a decisive factor
Maruo Kousakusho could realize “ultra” low spatter by installing the arc welding robot TAWERS having the option of the latest Super Active manufacturing method. They could reduce the time spent on spatter removal by more than 90%
Low spatter even when welding thick plates
Yahata Seiko could achieve deep penetration and beautiful bead appearance with high power TAWERS HD pulse welding. They could achieve full robot production with the high-power specification and 100% duty cycle.
Improvement of welding quality with robots
ITECH introduced the arc welding robot TAWERS to establish a work environment that is not dependent on the welding skills of individuals and created a better workplace where women can also play an active role.
High-quality welding without relying on individual skills
Panasonic Kaga Factory could realize high-quality welding by installing Laser Processing Robot LAPRISS without relying on special skills. They could successfully reduce costs by approximately 40% and solve the problem of labor shortage.
Significant improvement with visualization of the welding process
Panasonic Kaga Factory could realize the visualization of the welding robot process by introducing Integrated Welding Management System iWNB. They could visualize the worksite using cameras and eliminate wasteful and uneven human movements to achieve a 15% reduction in cycle time.

Search by Process
Introduction to some case studies of problems that were solved by Panasonic using its experience of more than 60 years in welding.
Automation of TIG welding
Thin plate TIG welding requiring proficient techniques. Once taught, TAWERS can reproduce the skills of an experienced TIG welder repeatedly
Reduction of spatter removal man-hours
Super Active TAWERS solves the problems of spatter removal. Welding with almost no generation of spatter can be realized.
Reduction of tact time
High-speed welding with TAWERS. With the S-AWP manufacturing method, welding can be performed at more than twice the speed of conventional welding methods. (Compared with conventional)
Burn-through in thin plate welding
Control of weld heat input when welding thin plates is difficult and burn through is the biggest challenge. Heat input control software solves this problem.
Welding of zinc-coated steel
Defect-free welding is realized with less spatter and blowholes

iWNB (Integrated Welding Management System) for Robots
Visualization of the welding process is achieved by using IoT to connect the production site and welding robots.
The system is effective in improving overall process productivity such as visualizing equipment operation status, enhancing predictive management and traceability, and linking with electronic reporting tools.
Pre-process
Introduction to solutions for the pre-process of welding that are useful for teaching and pre-production consideration.
VRPS(Virtual Robot Programming System)
Intuitive teaching is now possible through the use of a dedicated torch. This system can be operated by people unfamiliar with robot operation. In addition to significantly reducing the time required for teaching, this system can also be useful for customers who are considering automation for high-mix, low-volume production.
DTPSⅢ (Offline teaching and editing software)
Intuitive teaching is now possible through the use of a dedicated torch. This system can be operated by people unfamiliar with robot operation.
In addition to significantly reducing the time required for teaching, this system can also be useful for customers who are considering automation for high-mix, low-volume production
Welding and Cutting Processes
Introduction to welding and cutting solutions that are compatible to plates of various thicknesses and workpieces.
Super Active TAWERS(Mild steel/Stainless)
It enables both low spatter and high-speed welding. It reduces spatter by a maximum of 99% compared to conventional digital welding power sources. It significantly improves production efficiency by reducing the spatter removal process.
Super Active TAWERS(Aluminum welding)
Low spatter welding, which the most significant feature of Super Active, has been applied to aluminum welding. Highly effective for welding thin aluminum plates, the process also reduces smut, which is a labor-intensive process
YD-700VH1(High Current 700A Welding Machine)
It is a high current welding machine for high efficiency and high quality welding. A long leg length of 16.5 mm and a deposition rate of 300 g/min or more can be achieved with a single weld pass. It is compatible with a wide current range.
Super Active TAWERS (Gap thin plate welding)
It is an optional software for Super Active TAWERS that enables high-quality welding by alternately outputting Super Active welding and pulse welding. It maintains sufficient penetration, as well as significantly reduces thermal distortion and gap welding.
TAWERS Slag Solution
It is an optional software of TAWERS that supports low-slag wires from various wire manufacturers. It demonstrates effectiveness for welding workpieces such as suspension components of automobiles that require to be painted later
