Issues
Achieving a high-quality finish like an expert
The inverter frequency has been improved, enabling flexible arc control. Users can easily reproduce the skills of experts.
Preventing burn through during thin plate welding
The arc performance with a fast startup does not dissipate thermal energy and makes it easy to target the welding area, preventing burn through.
Making the welding process visible
Welding Navigation selects the recommended welding conditions when parameters are input, including the workpiece material, plate thickness, and joint type. Even inexperienced users and those who have been away for a long time can set optimal welding conditions.
Strengths and Features
Supports the welding of aluminum with any plate thicknesses and joint shapes
The AC frequency can be set arbitrarily from a minimum of 30 Hz to a maximum of 400 Hz. Increasing the frequency concentrates the arc, improving work efficiency for fillet and corner joint welding. When performing butt welding of thin plates, the spread of the bead width is suppressed, making it easier to control the penetration bead. By combining a wide range of AC frequencies with multiple different waveforms, this series can handle any plate thicknesses.
A quick current rise ensures a stable arc even at low output currents
The maximum pulse frequency for DC TIG welding has been increased to 1000 Hz. During thin stainless steel plate welding, a thin and uniform bead can be achieved. In addition, full digital control and high-speed CPU control achieve a quick current rise and provide reliable arc performance even at an output current of 4 A.
* Functions of YC-300BP4 Ver.2
Intuitive touch panel
Condition setting is completed by pressing each button in a natural flow from left to right to determine each condition. The set welding conditions can also be recorded with Japanese names.
Welding Navigation facilitates the setting of welding conditions
The main unit is equipped with Welding Navigation. The welding conditions are automatically determined by setting various conditions such as a joint shape and plate thickness while viewing the LCD screen. Furthermore, the use of the Plate Thickness Command will enable users to set the welding conditions simply by entering the plate thickness.*
Even individuals who are not regularly engaged in welding or have limited experience can easily set welding conditions.
* Available for fillet welding of workpieces of the same thickness.
Expert mode that allows users to control the conditions at will
Equipped with an expert mode, which provides a mixed mode, AC soft mode, and other functional modes for individuals who wish to pursue further in-depth performance. Since the welding current can be changed according to the movement of the torch, the amount of penetration into the base metal can be controlled at will while observing the behavior of the molten pool.

*1: The same values apply to the initial crater and pulse functions. In addition, during AC TIG or mix TIG welding, when the AC frequency is increased, the impedance (AC resistance) of the output cable causes a voltage drop. This may inhibit these power sources from outputting the rated output current, which is not a failure.
*2: 300BP4: 30 to 200 Hz for the SP waveform. 500BP4: The maximum frequency varies depending on the set current value.
■ The maximum frequency ranges from 200 to 400 Hz at an output current ranging from 300 to 500 A.
*3: 300BP4: For DC pulse manual welding, the duty cycle is fixed at 50%.
*4: Under the condition in which the polarity of the torch or hand electrode is positive. (EP: Abbreviation for electrode positive)
*5: Please use high purity argon gas for welding conforming to JIS-K1105 (purity 99.9% or higher).
*6: The depth dimension does not include the input power supply terminal cover on the rear panel.
