Issues
Ease of use
A variety of arc characteristics are available as standard. The optimal mode can be selected according to various welding situations.
Operation costs
Inverter-based optimal control achieves energy saving during welding and standby.
Degree of freedom for setting changes
Switches for detailed settings are located on the front panel. Users can finely tune welding settings.
Strengths and Features
Integrated control technologies achieve energy saving during welding and standby.
The RX1 series integrates Panasonic control technologies to reduce power consumption not only during welding, but also on standby by stopping the power supply to the transformer after welding is finished. Furthermore, this series is equipped with an energy saving circuit to stop the cooling fan approximately seven minutes after the torch is switched off. More energy-saving effects can be expected compared to welding machines without the energy saving circuit.
* Power consumption reduction effects vary depending on the use environments.
Stable arcs enable high-quality welding
The RX1 series is equipped with digital waveform control. This series has evolved the development technology for full digital control welding machines to achieve stable arcs from a smooth arc start. Furthermore, a centralized welding condition control function has been adopted to improve work efficiency. To set welding conditions, users only need to adjust the current using the remote control unit, while leaving the optimal voltage setting to the welding power source.
Achieved simple operation in addition to a robust, compact, and lightweight structure
The RX1 series has passed various tests in hot and humid environments with better performance than conventional models, and also improved its environmental resistance. With a sheet metal structure that can be used in any welding site environments, it is both compact and lightweight, making it ideal for replacing thyristor-controlled welding machines. The wheels installed for smooth movement have also improved mobility.
Operation panel with improved ease of use
This series has adopted a large digital display that improves visibility from a distance or in dark places such as factory walls. Equipped with a waveform control dial that allows users to adjust the arc setting to their desired one, this series can be used in a similar manner to conventional models.
Detailed settings can be changed
Switches for changing detailed settings are provided on the front panel. Customers can fine-tune the welding settings for their desired conditions.
* Please refer to the instruction manual for how to change settings.
Mutual compatibility of ancillary devices with the KR2 series
The mutual compatibility of ancillary devices with the best-selling thyristor-controlled KR2 series machines has been achieved. The currently used ancillary devices can be used without modifications even when replacing the power source.
