Issues
Pulse control
GT pulse control achieves pulse welding that gives users an operational feeling similar to CO2 welding.
Compatibility with special welding
The easy-to-understand display allows intuitive operation. Welding Navigation helps users shorten the time required to determine optimal welding conditions. It is also friendly to those who are not regularly engaged in welding operations.
Aluminum welding
Models capable of hard aluminum welding based on 200GT3 and 400GT3 are also available.
Strengths and Features
GT pulse control and high output achieve high-quality welding
GT3 pulse control achieves an optimal arc by adding arc tracking characteristics to the combination of the three base pulse control methods (hybrid, soft, and hard). The control effectively compensates for torch shake, suppresses undercut, and reduces spatter. The power source achieves a high duty cycle of 60 % while a current of 500 A is output.
High-precision encoder feedback control
A motor with an encoder achieves high-precision wire feeding. The uniform wire feeding performance is maintained even when external factors occur, including changes in the power supply voltage and ambient temperature.
Enhanced mobility achieved by eliminating the remote control unit cable to the power source
Reduced the number of cables for improving ease of maintenance. Since the remote control unit is connected to the wire feeder, the number of cables for connecting the welding power source and wire feeder was reduced to three (control cable, power cable, and gas hose).
Easy-to-understand display for intuitive operation
Users can adjust all welding-related settings at their fingertips. Users can switch whether or not to output pulses at their fingertips.
Aluminum welding models are also available
Aluminum welding models 200GT3TAM and 400GT3TAL with hard aluminum welding characteristics are available.
With these models, the duty cycle at a welding current of 310 A is 100 %, thereby achieving high-speed welding at higher current ranges. Mild steel and stainless steel welding can be also supported by replacing the wire feeder and torch.
Brazing models ideal for welding of thin sheet metal, high-tensile steel, and ultra-high-tensile steel
The GT3 series lineup includes 200GT3 and 200GT3TAM (for aluminum welding), which are pulsed MAG/MIG welding machines that support brazing. These models demonstrate their capabilities to weld thin sheet metal, high-tensile steel, and ultra-high-tensile steel.
Versatile arc characteristics have been preinstalled as standard, thereby allowing users to select the optimal welding mode according to a wide range of welding situations.
